Privacy Policy: Digital Tasbeeh - سبحة رقمية

Effective date: 7 October 2026 · Last updated: 8 October 2026

This policy explains how the Android app Digital Tasbeeh - سبحة رقمية (package com.kmdigitallabs.tasbeeh_app, "the App") handles information. It applies to all versions of the App on Google Play.

1. Who we are

The App is published by KM Digital Labs ("we", "us"), the controller for the processing described here.

2. Summary

3. Information stored only on your device

The following stays on your phone. We cannot access it, and it is not sent to us or to anyone else:

InformationWhy
Tasbeeh counts, dhikr labels, saved sessions, daily totals, azkar progress and streaksSo the counter and your history work
Settings (theme, colours, font size, language, sound, vibration, milestones)To remember your choices
Reminder choices and times; your device time zoneTo schedule reminders locally on the phone
Home-screen widget stateTo show and update the widget
Install time and how often an ad was shownSo the App shows no ads during the first 48 hours and limits how often full-screen ads appear
Whether you bought Remove adsSo ads stay off

Your counts and azkar history could reveal your religious practice. For that reason they never leave your device.

Android backup. If you have turned on Android device backup, Android may copy the App's data into your own Google account backup so that it can be restored on a new phone. Google provides that backup to you under its own terms. We cannot access it. You control it in Android Settings → Google → Backup.

Reminders are off by default. If you turn one on, Android asks for permission to show notifications. Reminders are scheduled on your device; there is no push-notification server.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) by Google LLC (for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland: Google Ireland Limited) to show banner ads and occasional full-screen ads. In the current version, ads are never shown on the counter screen or while you are doing a session, and no ads are shown during the first 48 hours after installation.

What the SDK collects. According to Google, the SDK automatically collects and shares with Google:

Why. To show ads, measure them, limit how often you see the same ad, prevent fraud and abuse, and for Google's analytics. Where you allow it, ads may also be personalised based on your activity in other apps and websites.

Google's role. For personalised advertising and ad measurement, Google acts as an independent controller of this data. Where restricted data processing or "limited ads" apply, Google processes the data only for limited purposes. Google may share data with its advertising partners as described in its policies. To learn how Google uses information from apps that use its services, see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Your choices.

Ad content. We ask Google to serve only ads suitable for general audiences (maximum ad content rating "G") and block sensitive categories that conflict with the App's purpose. Google selects the ads; we do not see who you are.

Older versions of the App (version 1.0.1 and earlier) start the ads SDK when the App opens and use the "PG" rating. Updating the App gives you the consent and Privacy options features described above.

5. In-app purchase (Google Play Billing)

Remove ads is a one-time, non-consumable purchase processed by Google Play. Google handles your payment details under its own terms and privacy policy. We never receive your card number or other payment details. The App only receives confirmation from Google Play that the purchase is valid, and stores a "purchased" flag on your device. Google provides us with order reports (for example order number, price, country) for accounting and tax purposes. We keep these reports as long as tax law requires.

6. Content updates (Google Firebase)

About once a day, the App checks for an updated azkar library and downloads it from our database on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). The request contains no account, device ID or app data. As with any internet request, Google's servers receive your IP address and standard technical information, such as the type of HTTP client, to deliver the content. Google acts as our processor for this service. We do not log or store your IP address, and we do not combine these requests with any other data. If you are offline, the App uses the content already on your device.

7. Ratings and support

9. Sharing

We share personal information only with the providers named above: Google AdMob, Google Play and Google Firebase. We also share it if the law requires it, for example a valid court order. We do not sell personal information for money.

California and other US states. In the last 12 months, the categories of personal information disclosed for a business purpose, or "shared" for cross-context behavioural advertising through the AdMob SDK, were: identifiers (advertising ID, IP address); internet or other electronic network activity (app interactions, diagnostics); and approximate geolocation derived from the IP address. Commercial information (purchase records) is handled by Google Play. We do not collect sensitive personal information, as defined by the CPRA, and do not use it to infer characteristics. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. To opt out of "sale" or "sharing", use Settings → Privacy options in the App, or your device's ads settings. We will not discriminate against you for using your rights.

10. International transfers

Google may process data in the United States and other countries. For transfers from the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google relies on recognised safeguards, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. How long data is kept

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020), you may have the right to:

How to exercise them:

You can also see How to delete your data

13. Children

The App is a general-audience app. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We ask Google to serve only ads rated for general audiences. If you believe a child has given us personal information, for example by email, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Security

On-device data is protected by Android's app sandbox. All network traffic, both the content downloads and Google's ads and billing traffic, is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We keep the number of permissions to a minimum: the App does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone or file access.

15. Changes

We will post any change on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects how your data is used, we will also tell you in the App or in the Google Play release notes before it takes effect.
